A church or "meetinghouse" was prominently located in most New England towns of the early 19th century. Old Sturbridge Village's Center Meetinghouse, pictured here, was erected in Sturbridge, Massachusetts, in 1832. It was moved to Old Sturbridge Village in 1947.
Each year, many couples still choose to be married within the historic structure. For information on weddings at Old Sturbridge Village, call 508-347-0306.
