Yankee Candle Company, Inc. had $737 million in sales in 2007 and operates more than 450 retail stores throughout the United States, and yet this candlemaking giant still maintains its homespun charm at its South Deerfield, Massachusetts, headquarters, which draws millions of visitors each year. It is, by some reports, New England's second most popular tourist attraction. In fact, the Yankee Candle Company bills its South Deerfield location as being the "Scenter of New England"!
