Boat to Your Bed...
...or Drive. Either Way, You'll Have a Water View!

View from the Inn at Harbor Hill Marina in Niantic, CT

Want to wake up, pull the curtains open, step out onto your private balcony and lovingly look at the boat you own... or the boat you wish you owned? Either is possible at the Inn at Harbor Hill Marina, an eight-room B&B on the waterfront in Niantic, Connecticut, that offers a transient slip for those who want to arrive by boat and water views from each of its eight rooms for those who simply want to dream.

Two of the eight bright and airy rooms also offer private balconies, where you can enjoy the salt air breezes from Long Island Sound and contemplate your day's planned activities, even if they don't involve wandering far from the inn.

Photo - Breakfast at the Inn at Harbor Hill MarinaThe Inn at Harbor Hill Marina serves guests a Continental buffet breakfast each morning featuring such items as fresh fruit and delicious, warm muffins. Enjoy the morning's spread in the dining room or outside in a rocker on the wraparound porch or in an Adirondack chair on the lawn.

If you've arrived in your own vehicle, you'll be pleased to know that there are plenty of attractions within about a 15-minute drive including Mohegan Sun Casino, Mystic Seaport, Mystic Marinelife Aquarium and several public beaches.

Picture - Adirondack Chairs on the LawnIf you've arrived by boat, book a fishing charter from the marina, make use of the kayaks that the inn has available for guests or walk to nearby shops and eateries, including Dad's Restaurant, a seaside clam shack and ice cream bar that is literally down the street.

The inn and marina were purchased about 10 years ago by their current owners, whose efforts to transform the property will amaze you when you learn from innkeeper Andrea Bunnell what the inn was previously--a flophouse for fishermen! Today, the hilltop bed & breakfast would still appeal to fishermen--as long as they don't mind crashing amidst lovely linens, stenciled walls, lacy curtains and pastel pillows.

Room Photo - Inn at Harbor Hill MarinaGetting there... If you're arriving by car, take exit 74 from I-95 North or South. Turn right onto Route 161 South and follow it until it ends. Turn left onto Route 156/Main Street to a left in one block onto Smith Street. Take your first right, Grand Street, and the inn's driveway is on the left. If you're arriving by boat, Harbor Hill Marina is located 15 miles from Long Island and 27 miles from Block Island in Niantic, Connecticut.

For Reservations... Call (860) 739-0331. Be sure to specify if you will be arriving by boat so that the innkeeper can ensure a place for you to dock. The Inn at Harbor Hill Marina is a smoke-free inn.
