You can get a sense of Boston's eclectic architecture from this picture taken from the 60th floor of the John Hancock building.

Unfortunately, the Hancock Tower was closed to tourists following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on America, so this prime vantage point for seeing the city is no longer accessible.
