Experience:

A native of New York's Hudson Valley, Kim has always enjoyed exploring neighboring New England. She relocated to Connecticut in 1996. Prior to becoming a full-time freelancer in 2002, she worked as a newspaper correspondent, a history teacher, public programs coordinator at a historic mansion, editor and spokesperson for an upstate New York utility company and senior projects manager for a financial consulting firm.

From her home base in Connecticut, she is frequently called on by the media to discuss New England travel and events. She has appeared on the Fox 61 morning news, WFSB's Better Connecticut, WTNH Channel 8's Good Morning Connecticut Weekend, WPLR FM's Chaz and AJ in the Morning and live via satellite on Retirement Living TV's Daily Cafe. She has been quoted coast-to-coast in publications from the Maine Sunday Telegram to the Fresno Bee.

Kim has also presented on travel and wellness to corporations in the region and served as a step-on guide for groups touring New England.

Education:

Kim holds a Master's degree in education from the State University of New York at New Paltz and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in history and public relations from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. She is a member of the Society of American Travel Writers (SATW), the nation's leading professional organization for travel writers.
