The nation's oldest amusement park, Lake Compounce, is located here in New England in Bristol, Connecticut, and for the 2006 season, visitors will find a new enticement to visit the park--a "screaming swing" ride called Thunder N Lightning--plus old favorites like Boulder Dash (pictured), the longest, fastest wooden roller coaster on the East Coast.
