A Free Place to Cool Off in Boston

By July 15, 2013

The worst heat wave of the summer is bearing down on New England, and it doesn't look like we'll see any relief until Sunday. If you picked this week to vacation in Boston with your family, I wanted you to know about a free and fun way for your kids to cool off. We discovered Rings Fountain on a steamy day last summer, and my daughter had the time of her life dancing and splashing in the invigorating streams of water that shoot up at random intervals from the pavement. With temperatures forecasted to skyrocket as high as 93 degrees in Boston this week, I'll bet even a few grown-ups will find the fountain's cooling spray impossible to resist!
