Free Pumpkin Designs for Last-Minute Carvers

By October 31, 2012

Follow me on:

Last year's Halloweenter Snowstorm left us in the dark for eight days and caused our Connecticut town to cancel Halloween. So, you can imagine how relieved we were to wake this morning to find the power restored just over 24 hours after Superstorm Sandy swept through. Halloween is on, but school is closed for the third day, so my daughter designed her first pumpkin carving pattern, and I carved our jack-o-lantern in the nick of time.

If you're a last-minute carver, too--whether due to the storm or to procrastination--and don't have a bored 10-year-old on hand, these easy but creative pumpkin carving patterns that I designed will help you get your gourd across the goal line. Plus, here's your guide to many more free pumpkin carving patterns available online.

If you carve a cool pumpkin this year... Submit a photo, and I'll add it to my New England Pumpkin Carving Gallery.

And if the Frankenstorm has ruined your Halloween... our thoughts are with you.
