You Betcha! The Champlain Valley in Vermont, New Hampshire's Lakes Region, Amherst and other Quabbin Reservoir-area towns in Massachusetts and Connecticut's Litchfield Hills appear to be some of your best bets if you want to leaf-peep this weekend. Although wet, windy weather in parts of New England has caused some leaves to scatter to the ground, there are still many areas of vibrant color and even some holdout trees just starting to give up their green, so don't miss your chance to glimpse Mother Nature's annual autumn masterpiece. Take a look outside my window with me for a glimpse at autumn's lingering colors.Use my Leaf Alert guide to find online foliage reports for all of the New England states and neighboring New York, or call one of the region's toll-free hotlines for up-to-date foliage reports and forecasts before you hit the road this weekend. Keep in mind that a crunchy hike in the fallen leaves can be as much fun as seeing the leaves in all of their glory, plus there are some great festivals and other events happening this weekend in New England.

had gotten white as he got old Now I know because
I am old. Autumn is the sign of the year getting old.
