Lobster Ice Cream and More Summer Treats

When About.com's Culinary Travel Guide Alison Wellner announced she was hosting a blog carnival devoted to Summer Treats, I considered contributing my recipe for lobster nachos or my visual guide to grilling lobsters. Then, it hit me. Nothing says "summer in New England" quite like... lobster ice cream!

I must warn you, however. If you're inspired to use our guide to the world's best summer treats as a culinary bucket list, start with some of the easy items like Chicago hot dogs, Canadian butter tarts or 18 variations on the campground favorite--S'mores, and save the disconcerting taste of lobster ice cream for... dessert!
