This Weekend's Peak Places

Wednesday October 10, 2007
Fall Trees - St. Johnsbury, VermontCentral Vermont's Mad River Valley... New Hampshire's Lakes Region... The Northeast "Quiet Corner" of Connecticut... The Berkshires of Western Massachusetts.... These are some of the places where you're likely to find ideal fall foliage conditions if you'll be traveling in New England this weekend.

Be sure to use my Leaf Alert guide to find online foliage reports for all of the New England states, or call one of the region's toll-free foliage hotlines for up-to-date foliage reports and forecasts before you hit the road this weekend.

Also, be sure to take a look at the fall festivals and events happening in New England this weekend for additional travel inspiration.

Can't get away this weekend? As you can see from the latest view outside my window, and as I told viewers of Better Connecticut on WFSB Channel 3 this week (watch the video), Mother Nature has slowed her pace a bit here in Connecticut, so it looks like there's still at least one more great foliage weekend ahead.
