Yes! The Southern Berkshires and Pioneer Valley of Massachusetts, the Champlain Valley in Vermont and Connecticut's Litchfield Hills appear to be some of your best bets if you want to leaf-peep this weekend. Mild, storm-free weather means leaves are holding tight in many areas, and colorful splendor remains, so don't miss your chance to glimpse Mother Nature's annual autumn masterpiece. The view outside my window is so stunning this week that it's a distraction!Use my Leaf Alert guide to find online foliage reports for all of the New England states and neighboring New York, or call one of the region's toll-free hotlines for up-to-date foliage reports and forecasts before you hit the road this weekend. Keep in mind that a crunchy hike in the fallen leaves can be as much fun as seeing the leaves in all of their glory, plus there are some great festivals and other events happening this weekend in New England.
